FIRST DATES: 10 YEARS OF LGBTQ LOVE STORIES
Channel 4's hugely popular 'First Dates' is celebrating a decade of LGBTQ+ love stories, having recently marked 10 years of matchmaking on screen. A panel hosted by Scott Byran will allow audiences to hear all about the dating series, followed by a social and singles mixer brunch hosted by SCENE Festival.
Panelists will include First Dates restaurant staff member Aoife Smyth, the first openly queer woman to star as regular staff in the series and Stephan Kyriacou, a trans man dater who appeared on the show earlier this year. Scott Bryan is a TV journalist and Co-host of "Must Watch" TV review podcast on BBC Sounds.
SCENE will then host a post panel social that will give attendees the chance to mingle over a complimentary mimosa on the Ducie Street Warehouse terrace. Whether you are single or looking for a friendship connection this is a great way to meet new LGBTQ+ film and TV fans.
£5 / Ticket + Booking Fee. Including a complimentary Ducie Street Mimosa
Booking fee donated by ticket partner Skiddle to Manchester Pride Charity.
Profits from SCENE ticket sales donated to Manchester Pride Charity which supports, empowers and enriches LGBTQ+ community groups.
This screening at YES is supported by Film Hub North with National Lottery funding on behalf of the BFI Film Audience Network.
